Note: I’m participating in a one-year photo project called, “Through the Lens Thursday” where every week Alison from Wishing Writing and Greta from Gfunkified give the participants an assignment to take photos based on a prompt. This week’s prompt was “white.” My goal on participating in this photo project is to challenge myself to take more photos, sharpen my photography skills, and hopefully capture some breathtaking photographs along the way! You can follow my progress on this exciting project on my Pinterest board here.

Lovely photos today! My favorite is the snowflake catching. What a classic and iconic childhood shot!

Thanks, NJ! All they wanted to do was roll around in the snow and catch snowflakes in their mouth and they had so much fun! My favorite moments are the simple, childhood ones (that happen to be FREE). LOL
Your photos are beautiful! They make the snow so inviting.(And that is from someone who is freezing in Florida because it is 36 degrees.) I love the photo of Zavier with a face covered in snow.

Thanks, Herchel! It was cold, but not freezing and there was no wind so it was actually enjoyable to be out playing in the snow. He totally wiped out into the bush! LOL I took that shot as he was getting up.
OH!!! These are so adorable!! Your little ones looked like they were having a blast! Their joyous faces just put a big smile on *my* face!! I’m totally jealous because we have no snow…it’s been years since we’ve had even a flake! –Lisa
Thanks, Lisa! Don’t be jelly – I’d rather have no snow for many, many years to come. We’ve gotten hit pretty bad this winter. But the kids did have a ton of fun playing in the snow!!
Ooh, that fourth photo down? That’s some serious talent there! They’re all great. I just gasped aloud at that one. This is honestly the only thing I like about winter.

Thanks, Tamara! I have yet to make a snowman. As soon as I can cross that off my bucket list, I’ll be okay to be done with winter FOREVER!
Super adorable kids!! And you have great photos too! Gaah, how I wish I can get my camera back now so I can start taking more quality photos.. I’d love to relearn photography! I took a class back in college but never really practiced it. 🙂
Thanks, Rea! I only took one crash course in photography, but would love to take more formal classes. So I just keep practicing (using my kids as my test subjects) and learning as I go.
Yes, this is definitely getting pro material. U have a bright future in this !!!
Thanks, Mom! The only thing about being the photographer is that I never get to be in the pics with the babies. But when I look back at the pictures, I know I was there because that’s exactly how I saw it at that moment.
So much snow!!! Glad your little ones had so much fun playing in the snow!

Thanks, Kim! I didn’t even have to ask them to smile for the camera because they were having so much fun!
They look like they are having a blast! I would love for my kiddies to experience that at least once! I hate snow but that is just so much fun when you’re little 🙂

I was actually shoveling while they were playing in the snow. I hate snow and I hate shoveling…but they made it all worthwhile! All they wanted to do was roll around in the fluffy snow and catch snowflakes in their mouth.
These photos are very beautiful as are your children! Enjoy the snow before it melts and gets brown and mushy! Happy Hump Day Gracielle! -Iva

Thanks so much, Iva! As soon as the snow starts to melt and get all brown and mushy, we get a fresh dump of snow. It’s been a brutal winter so far!
How precious! We never get snow here, but I wish we did sometimes! They look like they had tons of fun!

Thanks, Amber! They had a blast just rolling around in the soft-fluffy snow and catching snowflakes in their mouth.
The joys of winter! Your pictures are great and It’s hard to choose a favorite. I use to love catching snowflakes on my tongue when I was a kid!
Jeanne recently posted…The Search Is Over
Thanks, Jeanne! The kids had a ton of fun and watching them play made the shoveling a little less unbearable 🙂
Super adorable! They’re definitely having so much fun 😀

how cute! did you guys get a lot of ice? We have lots of snow now, but usually a lot of it turns to slush and ice overnight. 🙁
Roaen recently posted…Wordless Wednesday | Berry Islands, Bahamas
Yes! It has been nonstop with snow, followed by, slush, ice, then it would be warm for a day and melt a little, and then snow again! UGH! Right now it’s snowing and on Monday we are in for round 2 of the Polar Vortex. Waaaaaahhhh.
These photos are amazing! Definitely one’s you’ll treasure for years to come. What a wonderful way to capture white.

Thanks, Carla! I had fun with this challenge. White turns out grey in photos so I spent some time editing it, but I guess that’s all part of the process.
Oh, wow, Gracielle, those are awesome!! You captured the snow falling! And of course, your kiddos are precious as always:) I’m excited to see what else you come up with during this photography challenge. Have a great week!
