I just returned from the Best Maternity Leave Ever where I spent the month of January in Florida with my kids. I’ve been back in the midwest for two full days now and returning to mounds of snow, bitter cold, and grey skies has me in full-on winter blues mode.
Last year, I conquered the Polar Vortex-induced winter blues by getting tickets to the Bruno Mars concert that was scheduled to hit Chicago later that summer. I guess having a concert to look forward to was like a light at the end of the Chiberian tunnel.
So just as I was searching for this year’s cure to my winter blues, I got this fantastic opportunity:
If you haven’t heard of Rukkus, they’re pretty much the best place to buy cheap event tickets online. They’re like Kayak.com in that they search the entire internet and their private network to find you the best deals available. Just to give you a sense of their prices, I just compared Rukkus to StubHub for Ariana Grande tickets and Rukkus is 15% cheaper. I also took a look at sports tickets and Rukkus is sometimes up to 25% cheaper! Pretty awesome.

It was awesome! I danced the entire time. He’s such a talented performer – he sings, dances, plays guitar and the drums. And his songs seemed to appeal to all ages. I’m totally loving his latest, “Uptown Funk”.
That’s so cool!!!! I hope we also have something like that here! Honestly, I don’t spend much money on concert tickets so getting a discount is always a huge help. And aw, Bruno Mars, I love! ♥
