Our wedding was 4 years ago from yesterday (09.11.09), but it literally feels like it was just yesterday. It was one of the best days of my life because it was filled with love, joy, and good vibes all around. A big part of what made the wedding so special is the music that played from start to finish. Here are the songs that Jeffrey and I hand-picked for our wedding playlist:
Ceremony processional – Clair de Lune // Debussey
Live performance sung by Francis Perfecto during the ceremony – You (Wedding Song) // DnH
Bride and Groom entrance at the reception – Good Life // Kanye West
Cake Cutting – Ice Cream // Sarah McLachlan
Father/Daughter Dance – Daughters // John Mayer
Mother/Son Dance – A Song for Mama // Boyz II Men
First Dance – Still in Love // Brian McKnight
Bouquet Toss – Single Ladies // Beyonce
Garter removal – Bump n Grind // R. Kelly
Garter Toss – Party Like a Rock Star // Shop Boyz
This was the song of the summer that year – I Gotta Feelin’ // Black Eyed Peas
We had an awesome DJ – thanks to Jay Funk from Kiss FM. He mixed it up from oldies all the way up to current music so that all generations could dance the night away. He even stayed for an after-set and spun until 1:30am after the power outage.
Photo creds go to Jay Crihnfield.
Lastly, happy 4 year anniversary to the best husband ever, my Jeffrey. I love you everyday!!

That’s a great list! I bet your reception was a blast! We had a great DJ too, and he kept the party going!

Looks like so much fun – and the music choices are perfect!! I still remember several songs that we required for our wedding – and it’s been 14 years for us 🙂
