Alyssa turned one already! To celebrate, we had little birthday celebration at a local restaurant. It wasn’t a big event, but that didn’t stop her from going baby-glam – we went for a pink and gold stars first birthday theme!! With a matching pink and gold star cake and smash cake, of course.
I got her metallic gold star outfit from Crazy 8.
I ordered her cake just the day before from Sweetie’s Delights bakery. I just sent them a picture of her outfit and they worked their magic to produce this beautiful cake with pink metallic and gold stars.
I just adored her cake, but when it came time to dig into her smash cake she was overly distracted from all the singing and the people and a giant giraffe (don’t ask).
Overall, I think she enjoyed her birthday. I bet she won’t even remember this short and sweet celebration, but I certainly will. I loved the pink and gold theme so much that I think that I will carry the theme over to her bedroom when we get our new house. The bakery did an amazing job. Huge relief, especially since it was last minute (as per usual) and with an unfamiliar bakery. I feel like she was just born, too! It’s all going by so fast.
