Thank You Notes from the Milk Production Agency

This week I’m linking up with my girl Dean from Mrs. AOK a Work in Progress on her weekly “Thank You Notes” series, inspired by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

I’m thankful everyday for my husband, my kids, my family and friends, our health, the food on the table and the roof over our heads.  That’s obvi.  But sometimes it’s those little things that deserve a special thank you note.  So here goes:

Thank you, boobs, for giving me the superhero powers to feed and nourish my little baby.  Special shout-out goes out to Left Boob, for being a ridiculous overachiever and making me my chest look freakishly lopsided.

Sometimes I feel like my world revolves around my boobs.  Seriously, I have to drop everything when it’s feeding time!  My parents refer to me as a “Milk Production Agency” or call me the “Milk Lady.”  Arielle once drew a picture of me as a cow with udders and a calf sucking from them.  (I really wish I saved that picture!)  Again, thank you to my boobs for plumping up these chubby cheeks:

Thank you, confused receptionist at the hair salon, for totally forgetting that I arrived for my appointment and keeping me waiting for so long…and then making up for it by giving me a complimentary massage and 50% off my entire service!  And thank you, Cara at Spa Bleu, for making this momma feel pretty again!  (Even though the only place I went was to Target to walk around aimlessly.)

Thank you, Tula baby carrier, for letting me hold my baby close while getting stuff done around the house!  I thought my hands would be tied with three kids, but I’m able to cook, do laundry, get A&Z ready for school/ready for bed, work, and even hang pictures on the wall while carrying the baby.  This thing has been a life saver!

She’s close enough for me to kiss her anytime I want!  And when I glance down, I see this cutie pie looking up at me:

Alyssa

Don’t you want to kiss her???

Thanks for reading along on my first “Thank You Notes”!  (Please excuse the grainy iPhone photos and the glasses.)

What are you writing “thank you notes” for this week?

    • “Feed Bags” Haha! That’s hilarious 🙂 She likes to snuggle with me the best. If it’s anyone else, she cries! It’s very flattering, but tough on other people – like Daddy. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Yes, I do!! Bring those cute baby cheeks over here!!!:)
My right one was the overachiever, and sadly it still is. Like… I’m still freakishly lopsided sans breastfeeding. 🙁
Speaking of freakishly… your look amazing, crazy good amazing, I just had a baby and oh I look this amazing!
I think I need a trip to your salon, although you look good before the salon visit and the Target trip. 🙂
    Thanks for joining me!!!
    I loved your notes.
    XOXO

    • I feel amazing! Not quite as stressed as I thought I would be with 3 babies 🙂 I had so much fun doing Thank You notes this week. You are brilliant – I love this linkup!

  4. That face is precious! And you ended up keeping my favorite pattern in the carrier:) I love Jimmy’s thank you notes – this is a fun idea!

    • I ended up keeping both….EEK! But my hubs said it’s okay as long as I sell them when I’m done using them and get my money back. People buy/sell/trade and collect these things kind of like the Beanie Babies back in the 90s! LOL

  5. Way to go momma!! I have 3 little ones as well and am also breastfeeding!! I breastfed my son for 22 months, tandem fed for 2 months and now I have been breastfeeding my daughter for 10 whole months!! It’s amazing what our breasts can do isn’t it!!! I give kudos to you momma!!
I totally agree with the baby carrier, they can be lifesavers at times 🙂

  6. Yes, I would kiss that cutie!
Let it be said that you already and always were/are pretty but I know it has a lot to do with how YOU feel so I’m thankful for the salon too.
