I’ve been slacking on this photography challenge, but as soon as I saw that this week’s prompt was “door” I knew exactly which photo I wanted to share:
Ok, so that might be more of a gate, but still – I thought it was so pretty. This was taken last year at Yale University for my sister’s graduation. The intricate iron work on the door against the stone is what caught my attention. It was pretty easy to shoot since it doesn’t move (LOL) and the natural light was in my favor.
Thanks for following along on this edition of “Through the Lens Thursday” where every week Alison from Wishing Writing and Greta from Gfunkified give the participants an assignment to take photos based on a prompt. My goal on participating in this photo project is to challenge myself to take more photos, sharpen my photography skills, and hopefully capture some breathtaking photographs along the way! You can follow my progress on this exciting project on my Pinterest board here.

Everything about that campus looks old and beautiful. I love visiting her in New Haven when I can.
That’s a beautiful one! I wonder what I would photograph if I were participating. Perhaps I need to think on it.
And I’m going not far from Yale today, actually!

Your doors were beautiful! I haven’t been participating for a few weeks only to find that I’m one week behind. Womp, womp!
Such a beautiful picture! I’d say it counts as a door. 🙂 My husband would love this picture! He went to Italy a couple of years ago and took a bunch of pictures of various doors. They are amazing!
