Help Me Choose: Rivet & Sway Glasses

Hi there!  I need your help choosing my next pair of specs.  The glasses I currently wear are as old as my first-born child.  Okay, they’re only 4 years old, but that made it sound really old, didn’t it?  Hehehe.  I’m indecisive and cheap, which makes it hard for me to actually pick a pair that I’m willing to spend money on.

Last weekend, the internet gods kept showing me these Rivet & Sway ads for me to try on glasses at home for free. Their website has a nicely curated set of stylish, feminine glasses, so it was pretty easy to pick out which ones I wanted to try on without being overwhelmed.  Two days later, I had 5 pairs of glasses in a pretty little box at my doorstep.  Kinda cool, right?  It sure does beat having to go out in the nasty weather with A&Z to try on glasses at the store.

I have several disclaimers that you must read before continuing:

  • I’m not affiliated with Rivet & Sway, I’m just trying their nifty program and all opinions are my own.  I need your opinions, too!
  • WARNING:  Multiple selfies ahead!  I heard that #selfie was the word of the year in 2013, and yes – I got the memo that it is now 2014.  However, I just couldn’t get around to do this exercise without all the obnoxious selfies.  Please, forgive me.
  • I suggest you play this song while you review the choices below.  Yes, I was thinking about #StarbucksDrakeHands while I was taking these photos.  (That’s not a good thing.)
  • Don’t let that pimple above my right eyebrow sway your opinion in any way.

Now that I got that off my chest, here are the choices:

#1: Ticker Tape:

#2 Cherry Blossom:

#3: High Five

#4:  Spitfire

#5: 5th Avenue

And if you’re a side-by-side comparison kind of person, here are the choices one more time:

Rivet & Sway

I’m going for glasses that make a statement, but don’t overwhelm my face.  I’m going for smart and feminine, but not like I’m trying too hard to look like a hipster.  Easy-peasy, right?  NOT.  I have my top faves in mind, but I won’t share which ones just yet.

Leave a comment with the number the glasses you think I should get!  Thanks so much for weighing in!

  6. I like either #3 or #4. I think the other ones are a little too big for your face, but I know it’s hard to tell how the real frames will look! I wear glasses too and it’s so hard to pick out good frames!

  8. I vote for #1. If you’re like me, you’ll just go with the ones that were your favorites anyway. I once asked for votes on a new kitchen light, and I picked the one with the least votes because I liked it the most. 🙂

  9. You look good with glasses. I …do not. I do have a little Tina Fey thing going on because my glasses look like hers! Anyway, I love #1 and #3. I can’t choose which one!

  10. Oh my goodness why do some of them look similar to me! Ugh! This is hard. Maybe the leopard design makes me think about how stylish and sassy you look is as a mom which I love. But will that “go” with everything. You can hear my young adult always matching self coming out there. I say the ones with leopard because I think they scream Gracielle! 🙂 I hope you love whichever ones you pick hehe.

  12. First of all…WOW this is so easy. You are beautiful…and you have a great glasses face. The truth is that you CANNOT GO WRONG. You look gorgeous in all of these. That really takes the pressure off of your fans! Whew! I will have to pick #4…but #3 was a very close second. But again, you just can’t go wrong!! Now I can’t wait to go back and read what other people said. I didn’t want to be influenced by their picks so I scrolled down past them as fast as I could! 🙂 –Lisa

  13. I like the Spitfire (#4). Stopping by from SITS Girls Comment Love Tribe. Looking forward to reading more about your adventures. Have a great day!

  14. I like both #3 and #4. If you want a “stronger” look, I would probably go with #3. For a softer look, go with #4. However, I agree with other comments that you really can’t go wrong. You look good in all of them.

  15. It’s either 2 or 4 for me!! They look really great on you! 5 pairs? wow, how cool is that?! it sure is easy and convenient rather than going out to try things at the mall in this cold winter day. hehehehe.

  16. I’m leaning towards #4 because they seem to go well with the shape of your face without making to harsh of a statement. But they all look great! My husband did a similar trial process with his last pair of glasses, and I have to agree, it’s a pretty sweet deal!

  17. Cute! I like #1 and #4. I need to pick out new glasses, too, but I just haven’t gotten around to it because I can’t decide what I want.

  18. I love the first option! Bold but not overwhelming. They would pair well with a suit or jeans on casual Friday. And they compliment the shape of your eyebrows. (that’s my eyeglass test for when i’m shopping haha)

I love how the Spitfire glasses frame your face and really flatter your eyes. I think it's a great idea to not have to go out shopping for glasses and just do it from home.

I'm digging the TickerTape. They seem to match the outline of your eyes and eyebrows. Cute glasses. Good luck on choosing the right ones for you. Thank you for linking up with Countdown in Style.

  26. I like 3 or 4 the best. I can never choose glasses either. It’s such a big. I can’t wait to see what you decided to choose!

  28. Oh wow, this is not an easy choice! Personally, I would go with #1, but maybe just because that’s more my style. Though, I think they look really pretty on you and compliment your face well. Any of them will be great though.
