This past Saturday, Arielle made her first stage début at her dance recital where she tapped her way into the audience’s hearts to the song “Be Our Guest” from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
After weeks and weeks taking her to dance classes at 9-freaking-a.m. on Saturday mornings, it all paid off. She did all the moves and did not get stage fright. She even said, “Mommy, do I get to dance on the stage so people can clap for me?”

Confession: I teared up while I was watching because I was so proud and amazed that my Arielle, who was just a little baby not too long ago, was doin’ her thang and dancing her little heart out on the stage all on her own. That moment hit me like a ton of bricks – where did the time go? How did she get to be so wonderful and cute? I’m sure I’m going to have many more of these sentimental mommy moments as she gets older!

We’re putting her dancing shoes away this summer for some swim lessons, but definitely looking forward to enrolling her in dance this fall.
