My Christmas Wish List

Christmas is coming and I’ve been a good girl all year!  Here’s my 2012 Christmas Wish List to Santa.  Ho ho ho!

I’m sure my wish list is the same as many Mom Bloggers / Pinterest addicts / Etsy shop owners alike.  So take note, hubbies.

1.  iPad Bluetooth Keyboard  ($44.99 sears.com) – A wireless keyboard would be so helpful for sending out emails or quick blog updates anywhere around house or on-the-go.  I have a iMac desktop that I LOVE, but I can’t keep an eye on A&Z when I’m hiding out in the office where the iMac resides.  Jeff got me an iPad for my birthday so I can stay connected anywhere around the house. I haven’t gotten used to typing quickly using the touch screen so the keyboard made it to the top of my list.

There are so many cute DIY projects on Pinterest that I’d love to tackle, but most require a sewing machine.  Sure, I’d have to learn how to use it…then, I’d have to find the time to actually get good at it…but those are minor details that we can sort out later.  All I know is that I need to take ownership of a sewing machine ASAP. So whaddya say, Santa?

3.  Canon Rebel T3i dSLR Camera ($599.99 sears.com) – Adding a photo to a blog post really boosts the engagement for the readers.  With Pinterest and Esty, you need those high quality photos so that your pin or product stands out against the rest.

If a mom blogger were to hand you her business card, you’ll see an alternate title on there that reads “Photographer.” It’s no coincidence, it just so happens that we mom bloggers also dabble a bit in photography.  I actually got my first dSLR camera before my blogging aspirations came about.  I wanted to capture beautiful photos when Arielle was a little baby and I kept getting frustrated by the shutter delay when using my typical point-and-shoot camera.  That delay from when I pressed the button to when the picture actually took made all the difference between capturing that precious moment and missing it completely.  So for me, it was shutter speed and being able to take those-pictures-where-the-baby-is-in-focus-but-everything-in-the-back-is-blurry photos.  Since I have bad luck with expensive things (or as Jeff would say — since I don’t take care of my stuff the way I should), my first dSLR Canon Rebel XS camera broke and costs just as much to repair than it would be to get a new one.  Santa, it’s back on the list this year!

While I’m at it, I would also like a closet shelving make-over, a ton of lip gloss, tickets to see Bruno Mars in concert, and a Pottery Barn project table.  Why stop now?  I’d also like a year’s worth of Molly Maid service for bi-weekly house cleanings, and a side order of Channing Tatum.  Please.  I think that pretty much covers it.  Thanks in advance, Santa!

Disclaimer:  I work at Sears.  I don’t get any extra compensation for mentioning their products.  Although I should.  Haha!  All opinions are my own.
